I defaulted on a car loan by choice and allowed the car lot to repo the car ( after they refused to fix the car issues, I believed they created ) the total amount for the car was roughly around {$8000.00}. Once repossessed they sold the car for XXXX XXXX amount of dollars Im not sure but later roughly XXXX I was garnished roughly about XXXX XXXX pay period until debt was paid. They paused the garnishment for a small time period then continued with the garnishment order until debt was satisfied. I called XXXX car lot to confirm it was paid off. Asked could they remove it from my credit report they said absolutely and they held up their end of the bargain. I then called Gusdorf law firm and asked them to confirm this was paid and they did. Fast forward til today. My bank account assets were frozen XX/XX/XXXX and This law firm gusdorf law firm a debt collection agency had frozen my funds and claim I owe over {$23000.00} I was told if I call and make payment arrangements The hold on my bank account would cease.. I absolutely WILL NOT pay or make payment arrangements for something I dont owe they have attempted to garnish my check a few years ago but I lost my job.. they are breaking several rules.. right now Im working on proof that this was paid but no company is responding right now and possibly because it has been over XX/XX/XXXX yearsPlease help! I know my rights and laws and this is blatantly disrespectful
