Since 2020, I have been disputing a debt with all three credit bureaus. In XXXX, I sent certified dispute letters to all three bureaus, along with all required documents, including my ID and Social Security number. TransUnion returned the certified mail green card but has not provided any response regarding the dispute. I have not received the certified return card from XXXX or XXXX. XXXX has repeatedly stalled, asking for more information despite receiving everything they requested. I also disputed the debt online, but the investigation results came back as accurate and validated. When I contacted XXXX to ask for documentation on how they validated the debt, I spoke with a representative who was very rude. She informed me that they use an automatic system for disputes and that she was not allowed to share any information about how the debt was validated. Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ), 18 U.S. Code 1028, 15 U.S.C. 1681b, and 15 U.S.C. 6802, I have the right to dispute inaccurate information and to receive documentation validating the debt. I have repeatedly asked for the validation of the debt, including the original purchase agreement, payment history, and proof that the collection agency is licensed to legally collect the debt. Both the credit bureaus and the collection agency have refused to provide this information, which is a violation of my rights under these laws. I respectfully request the immediate removal of this debt from my credit report, as the bureaus and the collection agency have failed to comply with federal regulations and have repeatedly violated my rights.
