Consumer Narrative
I am writing to dispute the DISHONEST CHARGE on mine and my daughters credit report from XXXX XXXX. My daughter was advised that they had found someone to sublease her apartment and was asked to vacate the property in 5 days. My daughter done what was asked of her and moved out of the apartment and gave them the keys to the property and signed the appropriate vacate paperwork on that date. WE DID NOT HAVE POSSESSION OF THE PROPERTY AFTER XX/XX/XXXX. Supposedly the person that was going to take over the lease fell through so they wanted us to continue paying it but we did not have any keys to even enter the apartment at that point. ANY CHARGES AFTER XX/XX/XXXX SHOULD NOT BE OUR RESPONSIBILITY. They kept my daughters deposit and continued charging rent for XXXX to XXXX. We will not be paying the charges that are on the credit report and want them removed IMMEDIATELY. Timeline : XXXX-received a text message from property management advising that there was someone to sublease the apartment. Text message sent by an employee that SPECIFICALLY ask that XXXX turn in her keys by XX/XX/XXXX. ( SEE TEXT MESSAGE ) I truly think that the email that the employee sent shouldnt have been sent because it must have not been proper protocol but in the end we did what they asked us to do! XXXX vacated the apartment and turned the keys in. AFTER THIS DATE WE DID NOT HAVE POSSESSION OF THE PROPERTY. XXXX a text message from property management stating that they appreciated XXXX 's feedback on the notice to vacate form that was completed at the time she turned in her keys. ( SEE TEXT MESSAGE ) XXXXapartment complex lets us know that the lease fell through. I advised that we were not in possession of the property and we would not be driving four hours to get the keys. We did what was asked of us. I have reached out to the collection agency by email with the attached documents that I am sending yall as well. They keep asking me who I am and being XXXX. They act like they dont see the attachments. When I try to talk to them on the phone all they want is payment. They stated they havent received anything in writing however the email responses are coming back from them and I am contacting them at an email listed on their website if a customer has a concern.
