I have a mortgage with PHH mortgage. XX/XX/year> I applied for a loan modification due to my XXXX. During this process, I was told by PHH mortgage that I had to make partial payments in order to qualify. PHH mortgage sent me confirmation that I was approved for the modification. After several months of partial payments, I was qualified and sent a final agreement for loan modification. After reading the modification, I noticed that there was an error on the final document. The underwriters wrote that there was a second person on the mortgage, which they confused for the seller of which I purchased the home from. I asked them to send me the document that they Reviewed that they thought showed a second person on the deed. After reviewing it and having it sent to the local title company that did my mortgage. It appears that the meaning PHH mortgage did not read the document correctly. The document that they sent was stating that the seller, XXXX XXXX is selling me the property and signing over ownership to me. Due to their incompetence, I was not able to sign the modification in the timeframe they provided. I contacted them before the due date. HPHH told me that that theyre underwriters will fix it and send me a new one just keep making the modified payments until then. I kept making my modified payment and just this last week XX/XX/year>. I was told that I was denied for not bringing it in on time. And that now my options are short sale or foreclosure. I am very concerned and stressed after reading the denial letter. I believe that theyre underwriters are incompetent and or they are trying to steal my home to sell it. Ive never missed a mortgage payment before this. I only made the modified payments because they told me thats how would qualify. I have certified documents from the title company that I am the sole owner of the property. I emailed them to the underwriters and they still denied me. Nor did they ever send me a corrected final modification to sign. I believe that they are trying to fraud and lie to from me losing my home. Please help me thank you.
