Consumer Narrative
I feel I am a victim of XXXX XXXX. Back in XXXX of this year, two men introduced themselves as XXXX XXXX and his brother, if I remember well his name is XXXX XXXX, they came to my house and told me they could help bring my electric bill down to {$0.00}, but said they need to see my most recent electric bill so then can explain to me how their company works. A few days later they came back, they explained the process to me, I was not able to provide my electric bill because my statement is paperless, so I logged in to my account to get my last statement they even showed me an electric bill of a client they said is already signed up with them and the bill did show {$0.00} balance. They were very convincing and I believed them. They told me I could choose how many panels I would like and asked me how many panels and I told them XXXX, they showed me a picture of how the panels would look once they have been installed ( the panels would be next to the panels I already have in the back of the house ) and for the XXXX panels I would only be paying {$170.00} a month, so I agreed to sign up with them, I remember asking them I would like to use my laptop but they said we would do it over the phone. XXXX called the company from his phone and had me talk to someone, that person told me the documents would be signed electronically, the person on the phone provided me with different signatures and initials and asked me to choose a signature and initials that they would use to go on the documents, so I did that. When they left I started reading some of the pages and I noticed one of the pages said {$75000.00}, I immediately decided to cancel. I read that I only have 5 days to cancel and I can only email, mail, fax, or deliver a written letter to the contractor. That same night I wrote a letter and submitted it to XXXX. The next day XXXX and XXXX XXXX were back at my door, I told them I did cancel and I told them about the {$75000.00} that they failed to mention, they said that I would not be paying that amount because when I file my Taxes that money will be refunded to me and I will only have the balance of {$41.00}, XXXX, they assured me that I would not pay anywhere near that amount, they promised me they are here to help me and the the panels will pretty much pay for themselves because my electric bill will be {$0.00} and that will should up on my statement within a few months. They indicated once the panels were installed it would take about 3 months which would be around XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX a man wearing the logo XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX said he was here to do an inspection I told him no one mentioned to me that someone would be here that day to do an inspection ( he left a paper on my door and said he needed to take a picture of it. The same day, around the same time I received a voicemail from someone named XXXX, that person said, he/she was outside and was here to do an inspection, but that person never knocked at the door ( I was home all that day ). I called that person back and I told XXXX the same thing I told the gentlemen who did knock. XXXX said they would call me back with another date and time to do the inspection, to this day I have not received any calls to schedule an appointment for an inspection. I also received a call from XXXX who was XXXX 's and XXXX 's boss, if I remember well I called him, and he told me, XXXX and XXXX, no longer work for him, I told him about the people that said they were here to do an inspection he confirmed, I asked him why was I not informed ahead of time regarding this inspection, he said they had just come by to confirm everything is in order and ready to turn on the solar system and that he would call me back. I tried saving the documents but I noticed I was not able to save them all. I also noticed that the documents do not look like the documents that I had signed from XXXX XXXX. I noticed the second page on these documents say Make sure to at least read the next XXXX pages, I read that page and I noticed that the page says something totally different from what the brothers XXXX and XXXX XXXX told me, and this is why I have decided to file a complaint. Today I went back to the date of the emails sent to me from the XXXX XXXX Mosaic XXXX XXXX thinking I could download the documents that had been emailed to me and the only way to get the document, I need to provide the last 4 digit of my social and date of birth. One more thing that I would like to add is that just before I canceled, I had saved the documents but just after I guess they received my cancellation, I went back to the saved documents and they werent all there only like XXXX pages were available.
