On XX/XX/year>, I received a warrant in debt summons from XXXX XXXX XXXX stating that they purchased an alleged debt from Indigo aka Genesis FS Card Services for a credit card that was taken out in my name and was unpaid. This was the first time I ever heard of Indigo or Genesis FS Card Services. When I opened up the paperwork from XXXX XXXX XXXX they included the credit card statement from Indigo where it showed a balance of {$1300.00} that I allegedly owe. My name was listed on the statement, however it listed a mailing address in Mississippi. The address showed as XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX. I have never lived in XXXX XXXX nor held an address there. I do not have any family, friends or aquaintences in XXXX XXXX I gave no XXXX permission to open up this line of credit. This is clearly fraud and it's a shame that I had to find out about it from a 3rd part debt collector who had purchased my alleged debt from this company. I first filed a complaint against XXXX XXXX XXXX through this site ( CFPB ) and it was closed as they were not the original debtor. I was advised to reopen a case against Indigo so that is what I'm doing. However, unfortunately XXXX XXXX XXXX has reopened my warrant in debt case and I have a court date of XX/XX/XXXX for this debt which is fraudulent and not mine.
