I requested a loan, I received approval letter by email. Then I needed to speak to a representative to complete the application. I received all documents to sign and agree to the terms and conditions via email. I provided all of my information including banking information for the loan deposit. I did receive multiple transactions totaling {$1200.00}. Before these transactions were made, I asked questions about the conditions of the loan, the amount I was approved for, which I was told {$10000.00}. I said I didn't ask for that amount, they kept telling me they were almost done completing the transaction but someone had to call me back. I kept asking questions that were not answered and the person I was talking to hang up on me, then 3 deposits of {$400.00} were sent to one of my checking accounts and then transferred to another. I received a call back and was told that the amount I was originally approved for was unsuccessful because first I have to prove my identity and that I am in good faith to pay back, in order to do this I had to transfer the money back through XXXX, XXXX XXXX or XXXX. I kept asking questions and stating that I did not feel comfortable, the person started to get upset and saying that I could keep the money if I wanted to but they had me on a recording line and they work with the federal bureau. Long story short I hang up, changed my passwords and turned off my debit card as they had this information for payment purposes. I called my banking institution to report the problem, they created checks under my name and did a mobile deposit. I had to close my checking account, report it to the fraud department to investigate the transactions that came through.
