I requested a replacement debit card because my card was due to expire. The representative stated that she would be sending a new card. I received an email that the card would arrive no later than XX/XX/XXXX. The following day I attempted to use my debit card and discovered that it had been locked due to potential fraud activity. I called CapitalOne to explain that no fraudulent activity had occurred. I expected my phone to be reactivated, but that did not happen. I called CapitalOne again and was told that because a fraud alert had been placed on my phone my existing card was deactivated and a new card issued.
