Our loan was sold by XXXX to Dovenmuehle Mortgage in XX/XX/XXXXXXXX XXXX The mortgage payment amount included impound amounts. The payment amount as calculated by XXXX was {$3400.00}. This is the same amount that Dovenmuehle stated to us as due on XX/XX/XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX The first payment to Dovenmuehle was paid on XXXX XXXX XXXX for {$3400.00}. We then received a statement from Dovenmuehle that we were in default as the payment amount was changed by Dovenmuehle to {$4100.00}. We did not have any changes in this period on taxes or insurance. I filed a complaint immediately with Dovenmuehle in XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX to resolve the matter. Dovenmuehle returned a response in XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX that they incorrectly calculated the impound amount and that the correct payment is {$3600.00}. The new payment amount was noted and the payment amount was changed in my bill pay. The challenge is that Dovenmuehle charged late fees from the beginning of their error ( XX/XX/XXXXXXXX XXXX ) and placed the account in delinquency state despite not missing payments and following their instructions as originally requested. The late fees and misappropriation of payment to principal have been ongoing. We have attempted 3 times to resolve the matter with Dovenmuehle to no avail.
