I have a chime bank credit builder card, it is being reported as having a balance to the credit bureaus. The only money on that account is money I put there. This made my credit score take a XXXX point drop out of nowhere completely blindsiding me while trying to make a vehicle purchase. This information is incorrect and has cost me hours of my time and many more of frustration and stress. This incorrect reporting, especially on something advertised as a safe way to help build credit scores, is a violation of my rights under the Fair Credit Reporting Act and it needs to be fixed now. Now I have to wait up to 30 days for it to be fixed as I filed a dispute with TransUnion earlier this evening. Their customer service shuffled me around from person to person before asking to file a dispute, which I was then not able to do on their website due to a nondescript error and was recommended I mail or try by phone in this technological age its hard not to feel brushed aside while the credit bureaus play with my life like puppeteers. I asked myself what can I even do? The new American dream work your life away while we assign arbitrary numbers intended to keep the poor people poor making it impossible to get financing for lifes basic needs that are ridiculously overpriced to start with. Throwing on XXXX % on borderline predatory loans and credit cards taking advantage of people who have no other options. I am disgusted and theres no where to turn. Its just sad, this isnt the XXXX my grandfather fought for.
