I opened XXXX XXXX loan account in XX/XX/XXXX. I went ahead and set up autopayment. Everything worked great before XX/XX/XXXX, when I decided to check my Experian credit report and noticed that XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ( XXXX XXXX ) reported late payment to credit bureaus. I was shocked, as auto payment was still set up and there was more than enough money on my checking account for XXXX XXXX to charge me. I have never been notified by them about the missed payment and I had no chance to retry my payment. I called them, asked explanation, why they have not notified me about it and why their autopayment failed? It was not my mistake, as there was enough money on my checking and they succeeded to charge me before. Why they were not able to do it in XX/XX/XXXX. Also, I know that before reporting you late, they should give you a notice. I have not received email, mail or phone call. They gave me no reasonable explanation but declined to remove late payment from my account. I hope CFPB will help me. These credit companies do what they want and don't care about customers!
