My current loan servicing company, PHH, is refusing to provide me with complete loan documentation that should be on file. PHH took over the mortgage servicing from Ocwen Mortgage services. The complete files should have been forwarded to PHH. I am requesting modification documents from the year XXXX showing that my XX/XX/20 loan was modified into 1 mortgage while with OCWEN. PHH is telling me to forward them documentation of the modification so they can research the issue. If I had this documentation, I would not be requesting it from MY mortgage servicing company. They are basically asking me to do their work. This is pertinent information that should be kept on file, regardless of the time frame it has been and that it the transaction was completed while with the previous servicing company. This is causing me a hardship as I am attempting to complete repairs on my home ( roof and HVAC ). These repairs are essential so that I can obtain reasonable home owners insurance. The agency that is assisting me with financing is requesting documentation that I do not have a 2nd mortgage any longer with OCWEN. I am kindly requesting your assistance in obtaining the proper documentation.
